Your files stay on your device.
Resizing, cropping, cleaning up and compressing all happen in your browser. We have no server that could receive your photo, signature or documents.
How to check for yourself
- Open your browser's developer tools, go to the Network tab, and fix a file. You will see no request carrying your image.
- Or load the page, switch your phone to airplane mode, and fix a file. It still works.
- This site's content security policy blocks connections to anywhere except this site and, if enabled, our event counter.
What we measure
Anonymous event counts, so we can tell whether each tool works and whether requirements are still right. The events are: a tool was opened, a requirement set was chosen, requirements were read, a file was added, a check ran, processing started, succeeded or failed, a download was clicked, and your answer to “Did the application portal accept this file?”.
Each event may carry only: which tool, which requirement set, which kind of document, the detected image format, a coarse file-size bucket (like “under 100 KB”), how many rules passed or failed, the technique used to reach a minimum file size, whether your device is touch or mouse, and a coarse duration.
What we never send
- Your files, or any part of them.
- File names, EXIF data, or location from your photo.
- Anything you type into the requirement boxes.
- Your name or any personal detail. We don't ask for any, and there are no accounts.
The code that sends events only lets through a short list of named fields and short plain values, so a mistake elsewhere can't leak a file name.
